Flowers with shoot proliferation (witches’-broom) (left). Healthy flower (right). Virescence and phyllody of flower parts are common.

Carrot with proliferation of roots. Initial symptoms include yellowing and narrowing of veins of young leaves. The entire leaf later becomes necrotic.

Ooze from infected acorn. Copious ooze drips from infected acorns, leaving sticky spots on objects under tree canopy. Infections are associated with insect oviposit wounds.

Wilted, dying plants. Leaves have gray to light yellow stripes and irregular margins that follow leaf veins. Systemically infected plants usually have orange vascular bundles.
