Carrot with proliferation of roots. Initial symptoms include yellowing and narrowing of veins of young leaves. The entire leaf later becomes necrotic.

Wilted, dying plants. Leaves have gray to light yellow stripes and irregular margins that follow leaf veins. Systemically infected plants usually have orange vascular bundles.

The disease causes necrotic leaf lesions, which typically have dark flecks (freckles) within the lesions (not seen here).

Diseased plant with bronzing of older leaves and upward rolling or cupping of younger leaves. Leaves are chlorotic on upper surfaces and reddish or purplish on lower surfaces. In time, the entire plant dies.
